DR. ZOUBEIDA YAHFOUFI
PERIODONTIST, Prof. PhD
Dr. Zoubeida Al Yahfoufi is a French-Lebanese periodontist and implantologist who is fluent in Greek, English, French, and Arabic.
Education:
Dr. Zoubeida graduated with a scholarship from the Kapodistrian University of Athens - School of Dentistry.
She obtained her PhD in periodontology and oral microbiology from the University of Berne Switzerland. There she received another scholarship from the Swiss government based on her high performance.
Dr. Zoubeida has a strong academic background, in fact in 1994 she won the first Prize of the best clinical research at the International Congress of the Swiss Society of Periodontology out of 23 European countries. She also worked as an Associate Researcher at the Dental School of the University of Berne, Switzerland. After finishing her Doctorate Degree, she was a visiting Assistant professor at the Department of Periodontology at the University of Lausanne -Switzerland.
Publications:
In 1994, she published her research in the Microbial Ecology and Epidemiology in Health & Disease in England. In 1995, she published numerous Pubmed research in the journal of Clinical Periodontology and other international journals and textbooks; with Prof Klauss LANG and Prof Andrea Mombelli.
Her research focuses on the philosophy of conservative periodontal treatment, oral microbiology, epidemiology, guided tissue regeneration techniques (EMDOGAIN), soft tissue and bone graft techniques, treatment of Aggressive Periodontitis by different modalities and treatment of periimplantitis.
Professor:
Dr Zoubeida currently holds the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Periodontology of the Lebanese University School of Dentistry. She is also the University’s Chairman of Basics Sciences Department Undergraduate Program & Master Degree.
She frequently gives lectures in local and international congresses on a variety of topics including oral microbiology, periodontal treatment and implant surgery.
Professional Associations:
Dr. Zoubeida is the President of the Scientific Committee of Beirut Dentist League. Furthermore, she is also a fellow member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) group since 2005 and is currently a member of the scientific board of Pierre Fabre Middle East.
Work:
In 1995 Dr. Zoubeida returned to Lebanon, where she opened her private clinic in Beirut, specialised in periodontal and dental implants treatments. Dr Zoubeida has clinical experience in Greece, Cyprus, Switzerland and Lebanon. We are proud to have Dr Zoubeida in our team.
When she is not teaching, working, giving lectures or traveling to international congresses, Dr Zoubeida enjoys swimming, gardening and spending time in nature.
