DR. CONSTANTINA KRITIKOU
PEDIATRIC DENTIST

Dr. Constantina Kritikou is an experienced pediatric dentist, a PhD Degree holder and is also fluent in Greek, English, and Romanian.

 

STUDIES

​Dr. Constantina Kritikou graduated as a Dental Surgeon in 2017 from the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. She continued her studies at the same university, this time specializing in Pediatric Dentistry.

 

Along with her specialization, she also started her doctoral thesis (PhD) in Biochemistry. The presentation and final evaluation of which took place in May 2022, with the examining committee recommending the awarding of the degree "Summa cum Laude" (Excellent).

 

She published various articles some of which were published in scientific journals with a strong impact factor.

 

During the last 4 years of her studies, she was simultaneously working in one of the most prestigious pediatric dental clinics in Bucharest.

 

PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Dr. Constantina strongly believes in the integration of People with Disabilities (PWDs) in the society and also believes that everyone has the right to equal opportunities especially regarding medical treatment.

 

In fact, she was a member of the "Special Smiles" team of the Special Olympics held in Romania in 2018 and 2019. Dr Konstantina helped create the online platform O.S.C.A.R. (Oral Special Care Academic Resources) Erasmus +. The platform contains useful material both for the families of PWDs and for dentists who come into contact with and treat people with disabilities.

 

To promote the platform, Dr. Konstantina has presented various scientific seminars and conferences that were organized with the aim of raising public awareness and providing proper information to doctors.

 

CONTINUOUS EDUCATION

For Dr. Constantina, continuous education is mandatory, especially when one has to interact with children and teenagers. For this reason, she often participates in educational seminars and conferences, like the European Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (EAPD) and the International Association of Disability and Dental Health (IADH). She is also a member of the EAPD, IADH, the Cypriot Pediatric Dental Association, the Romanian Pediatric Dental Association and the Cyprus Dental Association.

 

FREE-TIME

In her free time, Dr. Constantina enjoys watching football and spending time by the sea. Furthermore, she is an animal-lover but has a special love for dogs in particular. Dr. Constantina loves traveling and visiting museums.
