CBCT (Cone-Beam Computed Tomography)
In our clinic, we believe that having a thorough Treatment Plan is a key step for the success of any needed treatment. This is especially true for the placement of dental implants, since careful planning could determine the longevity of an implant.
With a CBCT (Cone-Beam Computed Tomography) system, in less than a minute we can produce a high detailed 3D image.
The image provides accurate measurements of the shape and dimensions of the patient’s teeth, soft tissues, jaw, available jawbone, the location of the maxillary sinus and nerve pathways.
This information helps the doctors to select the ideal implant size for each patient and have an accurate design the proper bite in order to reduce the risks of misaligned implants.
A CBCT scan can also detect any tumors and guide us to find the origin of pain in the jaw, sinuses and nerve canals.
Compared to conventional CT scans, CBCT has the advantage of lower radiation exposure.
At Aesthesis Dental Centre in Larnaca, Cyprus, CBCT (Cone-Beam Computed Tomography) scan is just one of the many tools we use to offer a detailed and customized Treatment Plan for our patients.
